Lucero’s new album, Women & Work, was released yesterday. The album makes me extraordinarily happy that I have a road trip coming up at the end of month because I think it sounds best with the music turned up and the road zipping by.
The most fantastic thing about the album is the way it references and toys with lyrics and themes of their earlier songs and shows them now a little more grown up and with a harder edge of determination.
It isn’t all serious business, the album is also fun and great.
