Poetic Justice

I’ve seen alot of powerful performances but, so far this year, nothing has topped seeing high school kids stand up on stage in front of the audience at the Save Our Arts benefit and perform their poetry. I can’t think of a better thing for the kids from Central Park School for Children who were still in the audience to see. I’m hard pressed to think of something I’ll see this year more powerful than those elementary school kids looking up on to the stage with awe as the high schoolers performed. The poems themselves were stunning and amazing. What Kane from Sacrificial Poets & Pierce from The Beast are doing with this program is, simply, beautiful and a joy.
