Everything the Pinhook has done in the last few months to their stage setup (black backdrop on the side of the stage, awesome mural behind the stage with lots of blue & silver, a new and bigger stage, I think new lights too, and prob a bunch of other changes) is fantastic.
My photography has improved in the last year but the delight in taking photos at Pinhook now isn’t all in my technique. Compare the above at 1/30s, f/1.4, ISO 400, 50 mm with the photo below taken last July at 1/25s, f/1.7, ISO 1600, 50 mm
Same location, a world of difference. Pinhook has always been a great bar to hear music, a great bar – period, and a wonderful asset to the community but now it sounds and looks better than ever. And that is a joy.
(and the mantle of local venue with the most painfully red, monochrome lights passes to DiveBAR)
If you haven’t been out to Pinhook in a while, what are you waiting for?
