Indian Jewelry/Prisms, Pinhook

Not only was last night’s show at Pinhook really good music, it was really fun to shoot. I enjoy bands who, obviously, spend time thinking about their visual show.

Indian Jewelry looked awesome playing under constant strobe lights, and that gave me enough time with strobes to finally figure out how to shoot strobes.

Prisms, Pinhook, Durham NC, 11/10/11

And Prisms played only by the backlight of a video screen.

Great fun both, and it made for a full night of really pushing how I think about light.

I do love shows with really good music where I also have the opportunity to learn about types of light that work and how to shoot.
